IP DSLAM (ADSL2+ SDSL), VDSL switches (VDSL/VDSL2 QAM / DMT), Ethernet managed and unmanaged switches, Pro WLAN – external wireless backhaul/AP and Pro internal (AP and Hotspots), VoIP Products, SIP based ATA’s IDA’s (w/firewall), Wi-Fi handsets and PBX.
Senior technical support engineer.
Our main responsibilities where to provide train and support 1st/2nd line engineers who answer technical queries from distribution partners and end users. Pre-sale and site surveys was also a large part of the role, this involves joining the product management team and sales staff on site to answer technical questions and advise the customer, based on their needs, on a full solution.
ISP and ILEC/CLEC Support.
As the senior technical / ISP support engineer I worked closely with large UK (and abroad) based telco’s and ISP’s. This involved implementing ZyXEL based 3play solutions, as well as the individual data/VoIP services, on their existing and new networks and training the NOC on troubleshooting.
ZyCamp/ZyPartner technical ZCE and ZCNE Trainer.
Working with colleagues in Taiwan to create and deliver product training material to partners and customers.
Installed and continue to support the office DP installations (LAN, VoIP PBX, mail server, web server, etc..)
